About Cassandra...

My name is Cassandra Cole. I am 26 years old and live in Westbrook, Connecticut. My interest in racing came when I was 9 years old and had the opportunity to race a ¼ Midget race car at the Silver City Quarter Midget track in Meriden, Connecticut. From that I went on to riding dirt bikes and quads and basically loved driving anything with a motor. In 2013 when I was 15 I participated in an Alumni race at Silver City after not being in a ¼ midget in 5 years. I came in 2nd and realized how much I missed oval racing on asphalt. I sold my quad and three dirt bikes and decided to buy a Legend car in 2014. I was

fortunate to be able to buy a car and get it ready in time to start racing mid-season that year.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

2014 - “Rookie of the Year” at my home track, The New London-Waterford Speedbowl, Waterford,                CT

2015 - First female to ever win in the Legend Division at The New London-Waterford Speedbowl.

2016 – Awarded “Sportsman of the Year” at The New London-Waterford Speedbowl.

2023 - 10th in overall points standings in SK Lights at Stafford Speedway

I spent my first 2 ½ years racing Legends. I have not only raced at my home track, but also have raced several times at Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, Massachusetts; Stafford Motor Speedway, Stafford, Connecticut; Riverhead Raceway, Riverhead, New York; and New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Loudon, New Hampshire. All of these tracks were much different from each other and I feel the experience and seat time benefitted me very much. For the 2017 season, there was uncertainty with the opening of my home track and there were no other tracks in Connecticut that would be running Legends. I decided that it was a great time to take the leap and move up to the next division that I had set my heart on which is the open-wheeled SK Light Modified division. I sold my Legend in May 2017 and purchased a roller and new motor for my SK Light. I raced a partial season at Stafford Motor Speedway and before the end of the season I learned the track and car well enough to post fastest lap times in practice. I have raced a few years in my Chassis Dynamics race car and gotten experience, seat time and put down many laps on my home track of Stafford Motor Speedway.

For 2022 and 2023 I raced in the Spafco Race Chassis SK Light house car weekly and learned a lot and was able to get some great finishes.  I will once again be racing with them this year and am excited for the 2024 season to start. I am looking forward to working with Ken Barry again and being part of his Spafco team.
